Replicas of ancient items began being made for affluent visitors who traveled to Egypt on educational Grand Tours of various archaeologically significant sites in and around Europe between 1780-1920s; and the practice continued through the Egyptian Revival Period which ran through the 1920s-1930s.Aker (also known as Akeru) was an ancient Egyptian earth god and the deification of the horizon.
